Making a copy of a working copy?

Hi!

(TSVN 1.6.5 on WinXP)

Just to check: Is it a safe to copy a working copy and the use it as
a new independent WC?

I need a new WC, but want to avoid a slow and long download. So I thought
about making a copy on my local disk (fast) and the sync the new copy to
get the few changes that happened on the server in between.

Note: the original copy was made with another tool (Eclipse/Subversive/JavaHL),
it appears compatible.

Regards,
David
