TortoiseSVN is not working after updating from 1.5.6 to 1.6.2

We updated user clients subversion and tortoise svn clients from 1.5.6
to 1.6.2.
tsvn stopped working, it says " network connection closed
unexpectedly".

its not putty issue, its not msg y issue.

any suggestions what might be happening here.

interestingly, if we start tsvn from command-promt, all the features
work, like repo browser, update, commit, logs, etc, everything works.

should we do a "svnadmin upgrade" also?
