Ok, I sent the following to the wrong mailing list to start with but
hopefully this is the right one now!

Just got this error from TortoiseSVN:

In file

line 486: assertion failed (opt || cstr)

In the popup box it asked me to report the error to the mailing list -
so here I am!

Client version: 1.6.1

Server version: Dont know how to find this out without access to the

I renamed a directory and got a tree conflict - the whole thing went
something like this:

Renamed outer\inner to outer\alternate_inner

Update -> Tree conflict on outer\inner

Commit everything but outer\inner (including outer\alternate_inner)

Update -> Still tree conflict

Checkout fresh copy to fresh_outer

Find out fresh_outer \inner still exists, delete it

Commit fresh_outer - all fine

Update outer -> Above error

Update outer -> All works fine now

So, I dont really know if this is a bug or just something that went
wrong on mine - the box asked me to report it soI have J.
