RE: Re: Tortoise gets confused when branches are renamed

I'm trying to pull together the things you have told me, to work out what is going on, and what the problems would be if you were to change the behaviour.

First question: You say you always use HEAD as the peg revision when showing changes from right-click in the log dialog. However, your workround involves getting a log dialog, right clicking, and showing changes in exactly the same way. So it can't be using HEAD - is it using the revision passed to it by repo-browser when it was started?

Second question:
If I use the command-line tool to ask for the diffs (WITHOUT specifying an explicit peg revision), that works fine. Why, then, are you specifying an explicit peg revision?

Third question:
Originally I though the problem was nothing to do with peg revisions, but was merely the branch name you use when requesting the diff - you were picking up the branch name from the individual change, instead using the branch name with which the log dialog was started. Can you confirm that this is not the case?
