RE: Inconsistent updates in 1.6.1

I have seen the inconsistency when conflicts appear.
Previous versions were not stopping the update on conflicts, while 1.6.1 does not complete the update if a conflict is found.

Besides the new version seems to be slower than 1.5.X, especially when update a remote folder through Samba. For your knowledge, TortoiseSvn 1.6.1 (on windows, no remote) seems to be 10 times slower than svn 1.5.X (on linux, no remote) for large files.
Is it due to svn 1.6?
