Note that little information is provided. For example:
 * Does it occur during the start of the update or during the operation?
 * Have you watched for high disk usage? The update is usually disk-intensive, so the operating system kernel can appear to hang (not related to TSVN, of course).

Please consider reading the "How To Report Bugs" [1] procedure. If you already did and are interested enough, I'd also suggest taking a look at another, more in depth, guide [2] (I highlight the "Show me" sections).

I'd suggest either:
 * (easier) Use Process Explorer [3], which provides more information than Windows' Task Manager -- for example, right click TSVN process, choose "Properties" and navigate to the "Performance Graph";
 * (harder) Use Windows' System Monitor ("Control Panel"/"Administrative Tools"/"Performance") and add disk usage and other relevant performance counters.

These may help you to make a better analysis on what's going on.

Hope this helps,
 Helder Magalhães
