Are there any entries from the date(s) you tried in the list? Because
those date fields are only there to filter the list, i.e. to hide
entries outside of the selected date range.

Either hit "Show next 100" a few times, or hit "Show all" then try
changing the dates again.

AFAIK SVN doesn't support getting the log entries by date, but only by
revision number.
