Empty Error Dialog When Show Log in Merge Operation

Hello,

I've recently started getting an error when I attempt to do a merge
operation. When I select the Show Log button in the Merge dialog, a
dialog box appears that says "TortoiseSVN" in the title bar, has a red
circle with a white X icon, an OK button, and no text. When I hit the
OK button, I get the log dialog but it is empty. The dates at the top
(From, To) say 12/31/1969.

Others using the same repository have no issues.

I'm using version 1.5.9. on a WinXP machine. This has previously worked
fine. Any suggestions on what to look for?
