Problems with Show Log menu items

Hi,
I just installed the 1.5.9 version. I am running Windows XP on 32 bit processor. When I click show log on a file, I am NOT able to
a) Compare Revisions by selecting 2 revisions
b) Compare with Working copy
c) Compare and blame with Working BASE
d) Show changes as unified diff
e) Compare with previous revision

Nothing happens...no error message. This happens with all files. Its almost as if the events fail to trigger. The only diff option that is working is "Diff with previous version". Can you please help. This was working before when I used 1.5.4. Now it doesn't work even if I go back to that version.
