You can use http://subversion.tigris.org/tools_contrib.html#svncopy_pl
to do your branching and it will do this for you.

 

Oh wow you've just made my day Bob! I've been branching and pinning all
my revisions manually.

Can it pin @peg revisions rather than operative revisions?
