Hello,
I have tried to install ToirtoiseSVN 1.5.8 on Windows XP SP3 but the
installation blocks "forever" upon the "Validating install" phase, with the
hard disk constantly spinning; watching the activity of msiexec.exe with
filemon, I can see that it is constantly scanning the DLLs installed into
system directories, so I think that the problem is that it enters into some
kind of infinite loop.
This is the first version which is giving me this kind of problem
(ToirtoiseSVN 1.5.7 is currently installed onto this PC) and I have not
installed anything in particular since installing version 1.5.7, how can I
trace the reason of the problem?
