Deleted Directory causing serious errors

I accidentally deleted a directory and now TortoiseSVN and subversion
are completely unhappy with me. As suggested, I tried running cleanup:

   D:\_WORK\>svn cleanup
   svn: In directory '.'
svn: Error processing command 'modify-wcprop' in '.'
   svn: Directory 'ApplicationDiagram2.ad' is missing
   svn: Directory 'ApplicationDiagram2.ad' is missing

I went to the repo-browser and deleted the directory. That seemed to
work fine. I want the directory gone. It wasn't supposed to ever be
part of versioning. I just want this error to go away. How can I make
subversion "forget" about this directory and associated error? Thanks
