Hi,
I created a copy of the "problem" directory. I has the same behavior there.
I can be at the level above either of these directories and things look OK. It will be crawling files that are farther down in the hierarch. Then I click into my main directory (called dfII) and the crawling just stops and CPU load goes up over 20%.
If I manage to click the up-arrow and get up one level again (reponse to window is very slow) it will start crawling files again.
Are you sure from the process monitor dump file you can't tell me which file it is un-happy about?
Jay
