Thank you for your answer.
All my files are locals, no network drives.
The problem is the same with ou without icon overlay (I've tested with
all three overlay options).
The 1.5.5 server is running under Apache on Linux.
I know its user management configuration has been changed from a
DIGEST file to an external SSO system.
That could be another suspect but I don't experience such "freeze"
when checking out or committing files.
