Thanks Simon for the explanation.
I was thinking about what needed to make the internal Tortoise feature usable in "real world"
and it seems very close to it...

I do want to see the line differences, but also the words/chars specific diff.
BTW, I don't see words diff currently. Is it configuration thing?

Subversion does text file merges based on line diffs. TortoiseMerge
also highlights word differences, but it needs to show what subversion
is doing too. It was never intended as a competitor to KDiff3 or
Araxis. If you want to use a 3rd party tool, go right ahead, there is
support for it.
