Display bug in TortoiseMerge

Hello,

I have found a display bug in TortoiseMerge. When you have set it up
to switch to single panel mode on start-up, the extra space below the
panel is not used by the contents, and it's entirely in black.

Version:
TortoiseMerge 1.5.6, Build 14908 - 32 Bit , 2008/12/20 11:51:04
libsvn_diff 1.5.5,
apr 1.2.12
apr-utils 1.2.12

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Settings window
2. Enable "Use one-pane view as default for 2-file diff"
3. Close and reopen application with another diff

Actual result:
The extra space below the panel that is used to display the two lines
in two-pane mode, it not freed at startup. It is correctly freed only
if you switch to one-pane mode from the toolbar button, i.e. when the
application has started already. You can free that space by switching
to two-pane and back to one-pane again. Also, the space is not in
white background, but entirely black. Should be easy to see.

Expected result:
The extra space is correctly freed if one-pane mode is used on
application start-up by preferences.
