Thanks for the quick response - though I do feel like a fool - someone -had- added tsvn:logminsize a couple of days ago and not mentioned it. My apologies for the unnecessary question!

Is maybe the tsvn:logminsize property set?
What happens if you actually enter a commit message?
What happens if you enter something as a commit message, then delete the text again?
