Yes, you are right. as you thought Subversion is 100% open source project.
No doubt on that. Collabnet is the company behind subversion which initiated
a replacement for CVS in the year 2000. As a result we have *SubVersioN*
today. Collabnet has full time committers for Subversion. The binaries
released by subversion have been tested by collabnet. so, we can be rest
assured of the product. They expect you to register in their website just to
count the number of users who download and use Subversion. :)
