"Connection closed unexpectedly", svn+ssh, 1.5.x, tried clearing default "HostName"

I previously had TortoiseSVN 1.5.3 installed working with pageant and as
far as I'm aware I haven't changed anything. I started getting
"Connection closed unexpectedly". I have updated to 1.5.5 and get the
same error. I did some googling and came across the clearing "HostName"
field in the Default Settings in the registery. I've done this (as well
as deleting the whole default settings block) and it still doesn't work.

I've also tried using the latest night build (
1.5.99.14817-dev-win32-svn-1.6.0-dev ) which gave a "Network connection
closed unexpectedly" error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Winston
