Users "conditioning" themselves to not bother reading warning messages
presented to them is not the same as giving them a checkbox to disable
the messages altogether.
The former is a personal learning issue, the latter is handing them
the ability to say "I know things might get screwed up, but don't
bother telling me about it and just do it anyway and then I'll have an
'oh crap' moment & lose work, forget that I enabled the option, and
complain about lousy software instead of my own poor judgement."
