incorrect message error message given if wrong URL selected in merge

If I attempt to merge a file & choose the URL to the parent directory by
mistake (my first time trying to merge!), rather than the URL for the file
itself,

I get the error message

'http://subversion.tigris.org/xmlns/dav/md5-checksum' was not present on the
resource

Which is unhelpful.
