That's a great question. The files are uClinux source code files that originate on a Linux machine. I copied the files to the Windows machines using smbmount. This preserved the files with the trailing ".". Is there a global ignore setting in the Tortoise that is ignorning the files with the trailing "."? I suspect not since Tortoise reported an error rather ignored the files.
After I add these files and check them into SVN using Tortoise, I will check out these same files to my Linux machine using the command line SVN commands. I'm not sure if the files with the trailing "." can have the "." removed to execute proper builds for uClinux.
