I'm not sure but problems continue.
It all started when I migrated to Windows VISTA (32 bit). I figured I
best install the latest and greatest Tortoise SVN as well. I was
still working with an older major rev.
I haven't really made much use of the newly installed TortoiseSVN yet
but as I'm getting ready to dive in the code again, and start
committing etc. I'm getting nervous.
The problem I ran into, and I can only assume it has to do with the
same problem:
I made a small changed and wanted to commit. That failed with:
<>
Command: Commit
Modified: D:\Htm pages\Web\en\templates\news.tpl
Sending content: D:\Htm pages\Web\en\templates\news.tpl
Error: Commit failed (details follow):
Error: Can't remove 'P:\Htm pages\REPOS Web\db\transactions
\282-1.txn': The system
Error: cannot find the file specified.
Finished!:
</>
However when I checked the log for that file the commit DID happen ...
or at least the provided comment was in there !?
The file remained marked as changed.
I next tried an SVN Update ... and the file status changed to
unchanged (green check overlay).
When I checked the content it contained the change that I had made.
A diff with previous version nicely shows the changes I made.
I then did another test. I made a small change to a tekst file (added
another empty line on top)
The file was labeled as changed
I tried to commit ... same error as before
The file still shown as changed.
When I checked the log for that file, the file change was listed !
I did a revert to older version
The file was shown as unchanged
When I checked the file, the change had been undone and it was indeed
the older version.
When I checked the log, the last file change was still logged
When I did an SVN update ... the file did indeed update to the latest
change and remained to show as unchanged.
Confused.
