The 'about' is in the system menu. Either right-click on the entry in
the task bar (the 'about grepWin' is the last entry in that context
menu), or click on the application icon in the top left of the grepWin
dialog.

Replacing is done with the regex engine.
But if you don't want to use a regex for replacing, just put \Q...\E
around your search string (hint: press F1 in the grepWin dialog).
