Yes, it is perfectly clear from the progress dialog that I started a
copy command. The point I was trying to make is that it is not
immediately clear where the copy command command ends and where the
switch command begins. There is no gray text line detailing the exact
switch command in the output when you enable the "switch to new
branch/tag" check box.

See the attached screen shot for a minimal example involving just one
file: It's very easy to glance at the output and conclude that the
commit failed for some obscure reason, which is not what happened at
all.
