[minor] Missing icons if there are only folders (no files)

Platform: Windows XP SP3

Icons (like the green check marks, or the red exclamation marks) do
not appear on folders if there are no files present and only folders.
Imagine the following file/directory architecture (F for file, D for
directory):
Droot --> Dalpha, Dbravo
Dalpha --> Dcharlie, Fdelta
Dbravo --> Decho, Dfoxtrot

In this architecture, the icons will appear in Dalpha, but not in
Dbravo. If you add a versioned file (not a directory) to Dbravo, the
icons will display.
