Is it safe to use relocate...

Hello.

Is it safe to use the relocate command in the following scenario, or
do I have to checkout a fresh working copy?

I have a repository on a Windows machine;
I dump this repository;
I create a new empty repository on another linux machine
I load the dumpfile into this new repository

I have read the help page about relocate, but I don't know if I may
assume that the new and old repositories are the same when a dump/load
has been done, although the two repositories are of course
functionally identical.

Thanks.

JB.
