ignore-externals in Check for Modifications?

Are there plans to support the ignore-externals option in the Check for
Modifications dialog?
(And / or the modifications list in the Commit dialog)
I believe this option is supported by svn status, and it would make my life
a lot easier.

I'd like to create some external references (to different repositories)
under my own project tree.
The externals are 3rd party source packages, which produce build products
and intermediates etc within their own tree and all these extras show up as
modifications.
This makes it harder to see my project changes amongst all the build crud.

If an "Ignore externals" option was present and this skipped anything under
an externals folder, that would be great.

Thanks,
Michael
