Using TortoiseSVN 1.5.3, build 13783 - 32 bit, with Subversion 1.5.2,
TortoiseMerge crashes when I do an ordinary diff from the Windows
Explorer context menu and then move my mouse over one of the buttons
in the toolbar in TortoiseMerge (which would normally show a tooltip
for the button). This happens consistently with some files, and
others only sometimes. There's nothing unusual about the files --
they're plain text .c and .h files, not Unicode. ALSO, on pretty much
any file, if I move the mouse around enough between the document area
and the empty space next to the toolbar, it crashes. The crash is the
usual Windows message "TortoiseMerge.exe has encountered a problem and
needs to close" asking if you want to tell Microsoft about it.
I've searched the bug list and this forum for another report of this
crash, and didn't find any other mention of it. So I presume there's
something unique about my system (other shell extensions installed,
etc.) but I still don't think TortoiseMerge should crash like that.
How can I get more specific information about why it's crashing, and
hopefully fix it? Please help... thanks!
Tom
