Blame no longer works, REPORT of 'xxx': 200 OK (repo)

I am using TortoiseSVN 1.5.3 (the problem also occurs with 1.5.2).
When I select "Blame" on a particular file in my local workspace, I
get a Windows pop-up error:

| TortoiseSVN
|
| X REPORT of '/ams/~svn/bc/3181/xxxxx/trunk/rearpanel/sw/
operation.c': 200 OK (https://xxxxx-svn.cvsdude.com)
|
| Ok

I love the blame feature, but it doesn't work any more. Any ideas what
is going wrong? I looks like this error is supposed to report a bad
response from the server but "200 OK" looks like a good response.

I also get similar errors if I do "Show Log".
