Strange, I have write access to the root. You're absolutely right
about that it's the props that gets read out - the merge is carried
out even when I click Cancel on the authorization dialog. Hmmm...well,
there is apparently something odd in my configuration/environment.
I'll keep my eyes on it and let you know again if there is something
new of interest.
