Large Merge/Revert actions fail with 'could not connect to server' error.

My client version is: TortoiseSVN 1.5.3, Build 13783 - 32 Bit ,
2008/08/30 20:59:46
Subversion 1.5.2,

The server version is: 1.5.2

When performing large 'revert to this revision'/'merge' operations,
the process starts fine but somewhere along the way, each time while
handling a different file (seems randomly), the process pauses for
about a second and then fails with the following error:

Error: PROPFIND of '/svn/kenshoo-new/!svn/vcc/default': could not
connect to server (http://192.168.4.3)
Error: Error reading spooled REPORT request response

Large checkouts, updates seem to work fine.
Is this a connection time out issue?
Do I need to increase the connection timeout value, and if so where do
I do that?

Thanks.
