RE: Re: Deleted from SVn

Usually, such as this case, I just update our web servers and the programmers are the ones which make the changes. I store the local copy on my PC so that I can easily compare and make the changes to webservers when needed.
The programmer had made changes to other files and removed this file from the repository. When I updated the repository on my computer, it said that it deleted the file but when looking at it locally, it was still there and it had a question mark icon on it. Not sure what's happening.

Hi Jeff,

2008/7/7 Maze, Jeffrey S. <JMaze_at_co.geauga.oh.us>:

Seem to have an issue with the latest Tortoise SVN. If someone deletes something from the repository and I update my local copy, I just get a question mark icon on the file instead of Tortoise deleting the file.
Anyone have this issue or know why this is happening?
            Thanks.. -Jeff

I think that may happen if your copy of the file contains local modifications. In that case Subversion leaves the file in order to not lose data that cannot be restored.
