Checking out a subset of a tree from a repository

Hi there,

We have started using SVN/Trac and one of the team has the following
question, I searched the FAQ's and could not find anything.

I am looking to check-out a part of a repository, but I want to check it out
in relation to the root of the repository

as I will be wanting to check out other sections of the same repository
later. How do I do this without having to

checkout each directory as an independent SVN tree?

SVN

 - A

   -- AA

     --- AA1

     --- AA2

     ...

     --- AAx

   -- AB

     --- AB1

     --- AB2

     ...

     --- ABx

   -- AC

 - B

   -- B1

   -- B2

   ...

   -- Bx

 - C

eg Today I will be working on project AA2, next week on B2, and then perhaps
later on AB1 (but I do not have

enough disk space to check-out the entire project!)

The whole repository is obviously too large to check out in its entirety,
but I want to take advantage of the

hierarchical features eg. performing an update on the top level and keeping
the relationships between the directories.

Thanks

Rob
