FW: SVN Status column in Windows Explorer

Dear TortoiseSVN developers,

I've noticed some strange behaviour regarding the "SVN Status" column that one can add to the Windows Explorer Details view on versioned folders. I discovered this while setting my global ignore list. The online FAQ says:

> If you want to distinguish unversioned and ignored files in the explorer, switch to the
> explorer's detailed view and activate the column SVN Status. Then you will see the difference.

I don't see the difference, that's the problem :-). Files ignored with folder properties get correctly listed as ignored, but files that are globally ignored get listed as "non-versioned" instead. Is there a reason for this?

(I'm using version 1.4.8 on Win XP, in case that's important.)

Regards,

David

(PS: Two attempts to send this from the Google Groups web interface failed, so I am sending it by email. Apologies in advance in case I accidentally start three threads!)
