RE: Bug with Visual Studio 2008

By "latest" do you mean 1.4.8 or a 1.5.0 nightly build?

Did you try changing the TSVN settings? In 1.4.x, go to
TortoiseSVN->Settings, Look and Feel->Icon Overlays, Status cache. If
you set it to "Shell" or "None" then TSVNCache won't be running, and
this may prevent the hang.

If this happened in 1.4.x then don't expect a fix, but if it is 1.5.0
then a fix is more likely (but 1.5.0 should have better behavior in this
area anyway).

Subject: Bug with Visual Studio 2008

Hi Devs,

- i installed the latest Tortoise SVN
- after that i used it
- than i opened Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 with the C/C++ environment
- i programmed a bit ;-)
- i clicked the right mouse button on the sourcecode
- Visual Studio hangs up.

i tried different times and different places (header files, c++-sources
ect...). and it happend everytime.

as i noticed (and as i use often) T-SVN with the shellextensions i
presumed that this isn't compatible with Visual Studio 2008. after
de-installing TortoiseSVN, this problem never happend again.

So i think there's a bug in it.

----
thanks for paying attention and thank you for you good program, which i
used very often :-)
greetings,
Antonio
