How do I skip over a folder with "SVN Update"

Hello,
I have a very large project with many folders and there is one I do
not want "SVN Update" to update. How can I do that? I need a local,
i.e. client, fix, not something that affects everyone.

This is not "add to Ignore list" because this is for "SVN Update"
*not* "SVN Commit..."

I've checked the doc thoroughly and cannot figure it out!
