Logics?

So i have created trunc/branches and tags directory in my new repository.

Now, i need to create a sandbox (workspace). So i just should check out the "repository/trunc" right? Not the whole repository?

And then when i tag or branch my project i just check out "tags/release_1.0.

Is this the correct way of working?

Also, is there any difference between a "tag" or a "branch" in SVN? It´s seems to be just a defenetion issue.

I have a MySQL DB located in "C:\wamp\mysql\data\backend" is there a way to include those files in my repository so i can comit/update changes done to the datbases? My project is located in "C:\project\prj".
