Duh me. :-) Yep, that worked. Thanks!

Though I'm still amazed that I was able to get into that state, and continue
to use it without complaint. The only way I realized anything was wrong was
when coworkers insisted they weren't seeing what I was committing, and even
then I had to use trial-and-error "info" on each subfolder. Is that worth
filing a bug?
