To reproduce:
1. Install vista
2. Install Tortoise SVN 1.4.8 or 1.4.7
3. Browse a .bat file in a subversion repository, in Explorer.
4. Right Click->Tortoise SVN->Show Log
5. In the lowest pane of the log (ie the file list) Choose “Open With”
6. Choose notepad.exe (or another of the options)
Occurs:
7. .bat files stay associated with Notepad in Explorer – can no longer double click to open a bat file(!!)
Should occur:
8. SVN should *not* associate the app with that file type in Explorer.
This workflow works fine on XP.
On both XP and Vista the "Always use.." checkbox of the "Open with" dialog is grayed out. This is good.
The diffrence between vista and XP is that on XP, the above dialog is grayed out and unchecked, whilst on vista the above dialog is grayed out and checked. (see attached screen shot)
