Missing Icon Overlays

LIkely a Windoze Explorer or Registry problem, but this is particular to
TSVN, so ...

No Icon overlays show on any svn-controlled files or directories. Bummer.

Scenario - replaced motherboard and had to re-install Windoze 2KSP2 on
machine. Using "Windows Classic" theme and menus etc. Icons in the
left-hand panel of the Windows Explorer windows didn't show the correct svn
status overlays. (They did before the MSWin re-install.) But the
right-hand side of the window did show correct status overlays. I did a
TortoiseProc.exe /command:rebuildiconcache but to no avail.

I de-selected the "Folders" on the Explorer bar to change to single-pane
view, and _all_ icon overlays disappeared. Re-electing "Folders" again
didn't correct that; now no icons have overlays at all. I uninstalled and
reinstalled TSVN (1.4.6; 11467) to no avail. Reran the rebuildiconcache,
again to no effect.

Any other suggestions? I started looking through the registry, (comparing
anything with tortoise to a functioning machine that has XP) but don't want
to muddle thing further.

Thanks much.
Donald.
