Tortoise 1.4.6 locks Explorer on Windows-XP and affects file access performa

I think I can see the cause of John Lundbäck and Leandro Silva's
problems in version 1.4.6. Look in

trunk/src/TortoiseShell/ShellCache.h

where revision 10442 introduced a faulty check for included
pathnames with trailing "\". This has been copied to the 1.4.x
branch as r10444, and the mistake later fixed in the trunk at
r11402.

This code is processing the "Include paths:" setting. Clearing
the list of include paths, or setting the status cache to Shell
or None, might help avoid the symptoms -- if I've guessed right,
that is.
