svn-python-1.4.6.win32-py2.5.exe install problem

I used the above windows installer to install the svn, I hoped. The install
went without errors except nothing appears to be installed. That is, there
is no c:\program files\Subversion) or files /httpd/mod_dav_svn.so and
mod_authz_svn.so.

I took the default options including the install directory of
C:\Python25\Lib\site-packages\ .. In that directory I find a bunch of
python files, but no Subversion directory etc.

I repeated the install with the same results.

Via Xampp, I am using Apache 2.26, python 2.51 on windows XP sp2.

I have done a search of my C drive for a "Subversion" directory and none was
found at any other location.

What am I doing wrong?
