We really appreciate people giving us more information in terms of bug
reports or explanations of why they need a particular feature. What
happened here is that you found a genuine bug (and we are grateful for
the report), but immediately assumed that it was deliberate and that
we don't understand how to design the UI.

If we had not acknowledged it as a bug and said it was by design
*then* you might be justified in slating us, but please give us a bit
of slack. We all make mistakes ;-)
