No. Automatic updates are a bad idea anyway.
If that checkbox is enabled, the CommitMonitor will fetch the unified
diff for every new commit and store it locally. When you later select
a revision and either doubleclick on it or use the "Diff" button in
the toolbar, it already has the unified diff and you don't have to
wait anymore.
