I actually logged this as a result of a case I came across yesterday
where
I wanted to use the "Shot log" button where the two URLs where the
same.
I accidently screwed up a commit, and I was attempting to merge the
opposite of the changes I accidently had committed into my working
copy
so I could effectively revert the commit. In order to merge the changes
I
needed to enter the To: revision number manually because I was merging
the changes from a more recent revision to a less recent revision.
Being
able to use the "Show log" button would have given me more piece of
mind
that I'd selected the correct To: revision. Yes, there's plenty of
other places
where I could check I'd got the correct revision, but it seemed
reasonable
I should be able to do it there as the "Show log" button is already
there.
The way I see it the "Show log" button for the 'To:' revision is
exclusively
an aid for selecting the 'To: revision'. Hence if the 'To:' revision
field is
enabled and can be edited the "Show log" button next to it should also
be
enabled.
