With 'latest' version do you mean the latest official version or a
nightly build?

When you right-click, how long does it take for the 'blink' to show? If
it's longer than around 2 or 3 seconds, then something is busy and you
should be able to try again once your system isn't that busy anymore.

About the mailing list: We're not in control of the mailing list
software, that's handled by tigris.org directly. But you should always
check your spam folder in your mail client (for gmail that means using
the web interface) to make sure it wasn't put there by mistake.
