I guess not. Give it a try, but be prepared to give a better reason than
just "it would be nice" :)

Yes it's stable enough. I'm running it for weeks now. Bugs in the log cache
would only affect the display of log messages and revision graph, not the
working copy data. I can't say if all edge cases have already been found,
but for normal operation it's just fine.

Yes it works with a 1.4.3 (and older) server.
