File not locked under MS windows

Hi,

today I tried/experimented a bit with file locking under MS windows XP. I
started with setting the property svn:need-lock=* and committed the change to
the repository. All fine so far. Editing this changed ODT (= binary) file
resulted in OpenOffice.org telling me that the file is readonly. Sofar so
good. But it remained readonly, even after locking the file using the
TorToiseSVN menu lock option.

As I have cygwin on this computer I used "svn lock <file>" and after that I
obtained write access to the file as expected.

Is there a special thing to do under MS windows XP to obtain write access to a
file when using TorToiseSVN?
