I am not sure *I* take your meaning from this... ;)

If you are agreeing with me (and yourself) that the poster I was
answering was not reading well, yes.

If you are wondering about the tortured phrasing I used here, it was
because I was trying hard to be polite, given the enormous amount of
misunderstanding present in this thread from the start. I will stick
with one of my earlier comments (as repugnant as it is on some level),
and say that it may be easiest if one sees the handling of Subversion
keyword expansion as "magic", at least inasmuch as "where" it happens.
